YU Yunquan

Yu Yunquan became vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG) in 2024. He previously worked as president of the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies.

Yu holds a doctorate in history and is a senior editor.

Dr. Yu's research interests include international communication, cultural soft power, Belt and Road Initiative, media and think tanks. Dr. Yu has been included in the national plans of cultivating “China's leading experts in press and publication” and of cultivating “China's cultural celebrities and four batches of talents in theoretical research, journalism, publishing, literature and art”.
